Favorite Way to Style A Blazer
Hey Lovlies,
I've officially cleaned out my closet and brought out my Spring/Summer items.
With warmer weather comes brighter colors and more stylish shoes (lol). My favorite items, other than jeans, are oversized blazers. I have quite a bit hanging in my closet at the moment that I've already worn.
If you recently signed up for my Newsletter , I have a downloadable Wardrobe Checklist that is now available once you've signed up! One of the items included in the checklist are blazers. They're easy , transitional , and classic items that should always be in your closet.
In today's read, I am sharing one of my favorite ways to style them !
When I wear blazers, I know I want a chic , simple , and casual look . That is what I usually go for. When creating looks, I build pieces around the item I want to highlight . In this case, this pink blazer from Zara for $39.99 (originally $119)!
As most of you may know; I am a denim lover , so naturally I pair my blazers with boyfriend jeans , skinny jeans , or my personal favorite , mom jeans!
Mom jeans are very relaxed and they don't hug the body too much , but they also add volume to a look because they are slightly baggy. I'm all for oversized anything because it adds structure to any look . I got these black ones on sale at Topshop for just $20!
Since I was going for a girly and chic vibe , I didn't want to do too much with this look. So, to dress it up , I paired a white button up shirt with the blazer. Again, when it comes to thing you need in your closet , a white button up shirt is something you should always have. They are great for wearing underneath your outerwear pieces!
For shoes, I paired my mom jeans with a classic pair of snakeskin pumps from Aldo at DSW. Whether I'm rocking jeans or wearing dressy pants, pumps always makes an outfit look more sophisticated.
Plus, I love shoes that are odd in shape, color , or patterns , because anything that speaks " fun " is my kind of style!
To complete my look I wore this pink circle bag that I purchased last season from Zara. What's even better is that I only paid $9 for it , but it made the outfit come together nicely and it matched my blazer!
Hope you enjoyed my quick style tip on my favorite way to style a blazer!
