5 Functional Outfits for Every Type of Mom
I can't believe it's almost Mother's Day!
I remember two years ago this month celebrating my first Mother's Day and it was pretty surreal. Two years later and so much has changed about my Motherhood journey.
I went from being a stay at home mom , to an entrepreneur , to a full- time 9 to 5 mom. I'm constantly on the move and I find myself to be super busy. However, I'm always making sure that I stay stylish along the way !
I didn't want to do your typical "Gift Guide" post for Mother's Day, I wanted to do something fun and practical for all my different momma bears out there!
As busy as we are, it can be hard to feel attractive and stylish while taking care of the home and our little ones. It's something I struggled with in my first year of being a mom. That being said, here are 5 Functional Outfits for every type of mom.
9 to 5 Mom
Working in the corporate world and juggling motherhood is not easy. By day we are corporate bosses. Sitting in meetings, writing reports or working on presentations. A comfortable yet sophisticated pair of work trousers is ideal for these full days. I prefer my trousers to have multiple pockets so that I can put my work phone or card reader in them. It’s always a good idea to have a cute top, whether it’s a button up, camisole, or a cute statement blouse.
To complete the professional vibe, blazers on top of a button up, camisole or statement blouse are always an added bonus. Pair this look with low chunky heels or flats that are fashionable and comfortable. And if you’re feeling super in-charge, it doesn’t hurt to bring out those 4-6 inch heels as well (kidding lol).

On-the-Go Mom
I’m a mom that's always on-the-go. Not always by choice, but when you become a mom it’s all a part of the hustle and bustle. Comfortable yet functional is what I reach for during errand runs. My favorite things to wear consistently are boyfriend jeans and a loose t-shirt. For shoes I usually choose nice flats or fashion forward slippers.
Another very important item that is a MUST, a bag! Now that my son is a toddler, I’m not carrying as much , but I also have to make sure my bag is big enough , but still cute enough so that I can go and run all my errands.

Entrepreneur Mom
Raise your hand if you’re a mom and running your own business! To all my mogul moms out there, hats off to you for embracing motherhood while pursuing your dreams.
As a stylist to many types of clients, I dress many women who are business owners, some while working in the corporate world. The common goal is to always “Look the Part” because you never know what to expect and who you are going to meet!
As an entrepreneur myself, the first thing people usually look at besides my website or Instagram is how I dress. But no pressure -- the key is to have diversifying pieces: Wide leg pants, a dressy statement top, structured skirt, blazer and/or a business casual dress are all items that you can wear throughout the week no matter the season to feel and look the part.

Fashion Forward Mom
The funniest thing I’ve ever heard as a mom is, ” Oh, I didn’t know you were a mom. You don’t look like it!" I used to be offended, but now I love hearing it.
Fashion mamas' aren’t afraid to walk into a room and be seen. Kudos to those who still wear heels all while chasing their kids around the mall ( Me lol). Catch them in colors, prints, statement bags, and some dope shoes! These moms are not afraid to let you know that they still got it! You can still be mommy in style.

Casual Comfy Mom
It wasn’t until a couple months ago that I realized that sneakers could actually be just as fly as wearing heels ! I’m not sure about other moms, but for me Saturdays are the most hectic days of my week. Im usually going to multiple stores and wearing flats all day aren’t always ideal.
On those days I dress comfy with joggers, an oversized t-shirt, and a hands-free bag that I can throw around my body.
I'm learning that comfort is the new sexy!
