Tomgirl Chic - Fall Style | Layering 101

Hey Everyone,

I'm finally here with another blog post!! I know it's been a while, but I've honestly been SUPER BUSY! You know the usual, Mom life , 9-5 , Personal Shopping , Events, ect...but I'm here yall :)

I Love Fall for many reasons. It's the time when I'm most creative outfit wise and thats honestly because of the many articles of clothing you can pair together. My go-to Fall style is always a layered look. Its simple, its easy , and its cute. I recently bought a pair of camo pants and I told myself I had to find a fun way to wear this! It's not your average "girly" look, but I knew I could make it look super chic.

Creating This Look.......

Something Flowy/Loose

A good layered look consists of at least one flowy article of clothing or something long & loose. For this look , I wore this pretty long pleated top (well shirt dress according to Zara) that I fell in love with from Zara. It's one of those tops that you can pair and layer with anything. That's also another thing that I love about the Fall, clothing can be worn so many different ways! I'm definitely going to pull this out again for another look.

Outerwear

I love a great pair of stylish outerwear. My favorites are biker jackets ( preferably black with details ). Since my pants are the focal point for this look, I also made sure the colors I wore were pretty neutral. When layering, if your top is long , it's best to wear outerwear that is shorter and sits right at the hips. A cute biker jacket adds edge to any look so this one from H&M was perfect!

Something Masculine

Now, when I say something masculine, I'm simply referring to something very boyish. Believe it or not, females wearing masculine outfits have been in trend for a while now, and I'm here for it! So, what perfect way to complete this look by wearing these fabulous camo pants from Urban Outfitters! I love these pants because they are baggy and you can also tie the bottom part to give it a sleek look so that it can be paired with fire heels! UMMM Hello!!

A Pop of Color

What's the perfect color that meshes black and white so well? Yup, you guessed it....RED! Earlier this summer I talked about closet basics you should have in your closet . As I wrote that blog post, I noticed I didn't have simple red heels, CAN YOU IMAGINE?! So recently I did some shopping and luckily for me I found these cute pair from Steve Madden. The best part is, they were on sale from $90 and I got it for $27 bucks!! So, I will be wearing these shoes with pride!
