Celeb Slay for Less: Tracee Ellis Ross|Layered Inspo
Hey Everyone,
On the blog today I'm talking about someone who is literally a fashion icon! I'm talking about my girl and big sis (in my head) Tracee Ellis Ross!!!

Her sense of style is impeccable, colorful, real, and just fun! If you're not already following her on Instagram.... YOU SHOULD! Her style matches her personality and that's one thing I aspire to be when it comes to my personal style.

Since I've started following her, I've learned so much about designers that she's worn and featured on her page. I mean, who would want Tracee to rock their brand!
Thanks to Pinterest, I ran across this look that she wore to the MTV VMA awards in 2016. She paired a sweatshirt with a sheered skirt. I said what? I didn't even think a combo like this was even possible, BUT.....she killed!

So, here's my affordable version of this stylish layered look!
So when I decided to recreate this look, I still wanted it to be very much SBK, but still paying ode to my favorite fashionista. So I opted for a basic long sweatshirt, kept mine logo & print free for this look.
You could also recreate this look with a long sweater as well!

The " pop-out " of this look was the netted skirt she wore. I didn't know how in the world I was going to find something super close, however I had a long netted pearled dress from Zara I bought two years ago. The dress was on sale for $10 during the Zara sale. So I wore it under the sweatshirt to create the same illusion of a two-piece look!
You could also switch up the look by pairing the top with a tulle skirt as well to add some volume!

To add finishing touches, I didn't have the same pumps Tracee had, but I had one that was fun enough to take this recreation to another level! Paired this look with some slingback pumps I got from Topshop and it was just $30!

I didn't wear a clutch for this look only because the shoes were already a statement itself, so I gathered some magazines and BAM!
